Parking at an emergency scene – BLocking on scene

It is very important where you park are your ambulance at an emergency scene.
If you are on scene at a motor vehicle col; lions and you are the only unit on the scene you want to park behind the scene to protect your partner and yourself from the possibility of other vehicles colliding into the scene. Have your ambulance parked behind the scenes with the wheels turned to one side in case the ambulance is struck it will be pushed away from the scene?

If you are on scene with a fire crew and the scene is protected by fire apparatus you can park the ambulance in front of the fire apparatus. Fire apparatuses are quite a bit larger than an ambulance and stop large vehicles from crashing into the scene were out of harm’s way.
